Nurse Joy took one look at Mai, and raced her into the ER. "Wait here, we should be out soon." she ordered. I nodded sadly and picked up a newspaper. My blue eyes grew wide as I read the title and contents of the main article. Insane trainer battles with even crazier Pokemon. A trainer by the name of Montana was last seen in the Slateport Museum with a Marshtomp, who killed a Carvanha and Zubat. I read. Then I threw the newspaper against the wall.

After a few hours, Nurse Joy came back with Mai. Her chest was patched up, but her pupils were still dilated and red. "Miss, your Marshtomp is rea-" she began to talk, but then realized I was the trainer. She let out a shriek and called the police, in which I recalled Mai into her Pokeball and ran.

I didn't know how long, or even where, I was running to. I heard siren's behind me. My heart was pounding too fast, I felt dizzy. Finally, all the adrenaline stopped and I fell to the ground, half-conscious. I saw Officer Jenny, who was having her Machoke carry me to the police car. I squirmed and struggled, and kicked the Pokemon in the face. "Let go of me!" I screamed, Mai coming out of her Pokeball and using Mud-Slap, making the Machoke drop me. I broke free of the ropes, recalled Mai, and then I saw a nearby bike. I grabbed it and started pedaling for my life.

If I want to stay a trainer, I have to go. Far away.
